Today's race at Norrie Point was excellent. More than 100 runners -- most of whom came out for their weekend long run -- enjoyed a sunny and seasonable (30-degree) day. There were 16 finishers for the 10-lap, 31-mile ultra (listed below). Race director Charlie Sprauer should be lauded for the excellent work he does with this race. In addition:
--Thanks to longtime MHRRC member Claude Bodley for coming out to support the race during the hectic early stages.
--Thanks to our friend Jason Bellamy for providing finishers' shirts for the 50K runners. For a race with no entry fee, that's quite a perk!
--Thanks to the staff to Mills-Norrie State Park for sanding the roads, which were icy for much of the week, and making things safe and fun for the runners.
