Think Differently Dash - Walkway Weekend

Sunday, May 22, 2016

This year the Walkway Marathon has added a new and different event to the race weekend of June 11th -12th .  Added  to the Full/Half Marathon and the 5K Treetops to Rooftops races is the new THINK DIFFERENTLY Dash.

It is a 1 mile run or walk for all individuals, celebrating people in our community with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

The race takes place on Main Street in Poughkeepsie at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of Main Street and North Hamilton Street with free parking at the Crannell Street municipal lot.   The $10 registration can be done on-line or through a sponsoring agency,  http://walkwaymarathon.org/think-differently-dash.

Everyone is a winner – The first 200 will receive an event t-shirt and a finisher medal. Join us in Thinking Differently!

The Dutchess County THINK DIFFERENTLY Dash was created to help with resource referrals and to assist with advocating for necessary and specialized services. The aim is to empower our local residents with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities, along with their families and caregivers.

Many thanks to our Think Differently Dash Partners.
