This race is being put on by the Shawangunk Runners for the benefit of the Mohonk Preserve at Spring Farm.

The course is a very accessible- its on well maintained carriage paths with only one hill about 300m long halfway through the race. Runners will be treated to great views of the Catskill and the hospitality of both the Shawangunk Runners and the Mohonk Preserve.

It's limited to 300 runners and is by preregistration only. It's part of the effort to put in a second bridge across the roadway so runners can run all over mountain without ever having to cross a paved road. It returns the trail network to the way it was in the early 1900's.

If you want to improve your speed for racing, if you want to get in terrific shape, if you want to work out and talk with other runners, this is the place for you.

These FREE sessions are led by Wayne McDaniel and Conni Grace, who somehow manage to challenge runners of all levels on the track. Come to the MHRRC meeting on April 10 to learn all the theory and why you do what you do on the track - then follow-up with the Tuesday night workouts at Union Vale Middle School.

Please sign up through the MHRRC shopping cart so we have your email address and you have signed the waiver.

On this web site, see Training>>Coaches Corner, Training>>Daniels' Pacing, and Training>>Training Tips for more information about past track practices.
