2008 Marathon Project Kick-Off
On April 2, 2008 over 200 youth, mentors, and parents came together at the Dutchess County YMCA to kick off the 2008 Marathon Project season. Topics discussed were the role of the mentors, student participation, goal setting, and team building. MHRRC club member Marissa Hanson gave an inspiring presentation on how she began running as a youth and the importance of goal setting in her life. It was a fantastic evening!
The Marathon Project students are currently in their second week of training and are running approximately 2.5 miles at their respective schools. Please look out for our youth running & volunteering at these up and coming events.

- May 10 Miles of Hope
- May 17 Hudson Valley Youth Festival
- May 18 Dutchess ARC Laurel Run
