MHRRC Learn to Run Is Back: starts February 27

This program is FREE but you must register in the MHRRC shopping cart in order to attend. Registration is closed after 50 registrants, so register early so you can participate.

Want to run a 5K race (3.1 miles)? Don't know how to start? Here is a way: a supportive, fun, friendly group that will train together for 12 weeks with the goal of running a 5K race in May or June.

On the Spackenkill High School Track, Polly Sparling and the Posse will start your training with 30 minutes of walking and just one minute of running. As the weeks go by, walking time will decrease and running time will increase. By the end of 12 weeks you too can run a 5K — at the MHRRC’s Women’s Run on May 17 or the Treetops to Rooftops 5K on June 14.
